Mission + Vision

Our politics: Mahina Therapy PLLC believes that therapy is inherently political, thus our stance within the mental health community and with our clients reflects that. We stand with the LGBTQQIP2SA community, Palestinian and Congolese people experiencing systemic genocide, and the Black Lives Matter Movement. We dedicate ourselves to continuous education to be anti-racist, trans-affirming, the Fat liberation (HAES) movement, and kink/sex affirming. Mahina Therapy is QTBIPOC-owned, thus our politics reflect this dedication to systemically marginalized communities. 

Mission: To provide outpatient mental health services, ADHD + Autism Evaluations, and Gender-Affirming Care to marginalized communities who have be systematically under-served within the mental health field.

Vision: Mahina Therapy PLLC envisions a world in which all gender-diverse people, Black, Indigenous, and other People of Color have access to quality mental health services and ADHD+Autism Evaluations that honors their cultural heritage without assimilation to white supremacy expectations of mental wellness.

Inclusivity Statement: Mahina Therapy PLLC holds a firm stance against racism, xenophobia, queer phobia, transphobia, misogyny, ableism, fatphobia, classism, and any systems of oppression which discriminate against folx with marginalized identities. Clients can expect conversations around these systems and to be challenged when they show up in the room with any clinician or student intern employed at Mahina Therapy.
