“Trauma is personal. It does not disappear if it is not validated. When it is ignored or invalidated the silent screams continue internally heard only by the one held captive. When someone enters the pain and hears the screams, healing can begin.” - Danielle Bernock

My process in therapy is to offer a warm, non-judgemental space where you feel listened to and supported. In our sessions together, you can expect us to journey into your past and uncover how the systems we’re born into shape us. We will spend time delving into your family of origin, because I believe the past can give us valuable insight into the present. My approach is collaborative, and we will work together on your unique needs. You can expect a large portion of our work to center around processing your experiences and the emotions around them to allow for healing and personal growth. Through therapy, we will build your toolbox of skills, find your inner strengths, and create impactful change to help you face life’s challenges. I use Narrative Therapy, Intergenerational Theory, and IFS (Internal Family Systems) Therapy.
In addition to being a therapist, I am also an avid fiber crafter and reader. You can often find me on the couch with my wife, Syd, and two dogs, working on a knitting project and watching a documentary.
Todd + Clodagh (pronounced Clo-da), Co-Therapists
Todd, the goldendoodle, is a grumpy old man with a soft, mushy heart. He enjoys long naps, barking at nothing, and stealing socks and Kleenex. Clodagh, the pittie, is a sweet girl who is convinced she’s a lap dog. She enjoys sunbathing, playing with toys, and going on car rides (can’t forget the pup cup!). You may hear Todd and Clodagh during our sessions together, whether it’s their soft background snores, a toy squeaking in the distance, or barking at a squirrel.
